Food Bank Impact Stories – Conflict | Food Bank Leadership Institute

Throughout FBLI, these sessions will highlight how food banks are responding to major events affecting their communities including extreme weather events, natural disasters, civil unrest, and conflict.

When the conflict in Ukraine began over a year ago, food banks began to mobilize. Since then, food banks in Ukraine and the surrounding region have continued to support people affected by the war in Ukraine. Dmytro Shkrabatovskyi, Board Chair, Ukrainian Food Banks Federation, shares how food banks responded including the formation of the Ukrainian Food Banks Federation.
