The Purpose Business

Pat is the Founder and Director of The Purpose Business. The Purpose Business helps organisations in Asia to embed purpose and sustainability into their business strategy and operations. They map environmental, social and governance impacts and help scale them responsibly to future-proof business amidst global volatility.

Pat has more than 20 years sustainability leadership experience, including as global head of corporate social responsibility and sustainability for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. She has worked across listed companies, global organisations and even start-ups on embedding purpose and sustainability into their business strategy and operations. Some of these organisations include Cathay Pacific, Jardine Matheson, The Hong Kong Shanghai Hotels (Peninsula), First State, Danone, Swire Properties, Vitasoy, Century Pacific Food, Metro Pacific and Universal Robina Corporation.

Pat has an MA in Globalisation & Governance, and certificates in Transformational Leadership (University of Oxford) and Global Leadership & Public Policy for the 21st Century (Harvard Kennedy School). She is a fellow of the Asia Society and the Royal Society of Arts, she is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader and sits on the Boards of Enrich, a non-profit pushing for financial literacy of migrant workers in Hong Kong.
