Africa Food Bank Conference 2024
Registration for this event is now closed.
The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) is delighted to convene the Africa Food Bank Conference 2024 in Accra, Ghana. Building on the Nairobi gathering in November 2022, this event will be a further opportunity for food banks from across Africa to gather in-person to discuss common themes and challenges facing food banks and learn from the experience and expertise of peers. As food banking continues to advance in Africa, we look forward to welcoming new GFN members to the Africa food bank community at this event.
We hope that all GFN member food banks in Africa will be represented at the event to facilitate robust conversations, diverse idea sharing, and fostering a greater sense of community amongst food banks on the continent.
In addition to conversational sessions at the event hotel, participants will have the opportunity to visit the facilities of Food for All Africa and learn about their programs as part of the main summit agenda.
Please complete the registration form below for each person from your food bank who will be joining us in Accra. Please note, attendance at the Africa Food Bank Conference 2024 is only open to staff at GFN member food banks in the region. Please do not share this invitation externally.

About The Global FoodBanking Network
The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) supports community-led solutions to alleviate hunger in nearly 50 countries. While millions struggle to access enough safe and nutritious food, nearly a third of all food produced is lost or wasted. We’re changing that. We believe food banks directed by local leaders are key to achieving Zero Hunger and building resilient food systems. For more information, visit https://www.foodbanking.org/.
About Food for All Africa
Food for All Africa operates West Africa’s first community food support centre to create efficient and sustainable means of healthy nutrition for vulnerable communities through advocacy, food recovery, and redistribution. Our main beneficiaries are vulnerable children, youth, aged, and disabled, within orphanages, schools, and communities that depend on benevolent donations for nutrition and livelihood support.
