Africa Food Banks – Focus on Agriculture

This is a peer group session for the GFN Network food banks in Africa. Through case studies and discussions in small groups, this session will explore how African food banks are working with farmers to capture valuable agricultural surplus and how they are serving vulnerable people in rural communities.
Participants will be split into small groups and will have the opportunity to learn about three different models before discussing in their small groups the benefits of the programs and the challenges to implementing them.
