Dra. Alda Roxana Cárdenas

Roxana Cárdenas is profesor emeritus and full professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, consultant in the public, private and social sectors, advisor in civil society organizations, and president of the Association of Emeritus Teachers of Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Until January 2016, she was coordinator of the Citizen Urbanism Program at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her previous responsibilities at Tecnológico de Monterrey include: National Director of Training and Social Development in the Academic Vice Presidency, Director of Strategic Projects in the Vice Presidency for Research and Development and in the Institutional Development Presidency, Director of the Systems Engineering Department; She is also a tenured professor at the Monterrey Campus and at the School of Government and Public Transformation. She took a sabbatical as a research associate at George Mason University (USA).

From December 2006 to May 2009 she was Deputy General Director of Planning in the Office of the Presidency of the Republic (Mexico).

She has participated and coordinated research and development and consulting projects, and given seminars and training programs both in the private sector, in the public sector and in the social sector in Mexico, Argentina, Canada, the United States, El Salvador, Ghana and Ivory Coast. Likewise she has been an invited speaker and presented papers at various congresses and universities in different countries and continents.
